Experiment

Experiment 1 is a simple experiment we performed whereby we presented random computer users with a set of menus and asked them to retrieve a set of items. They were to report the numbers that were associated with the items. We timed each user and recorded the results. The users’ sex, age and computer experience were taken into consideration. In analyzing the data collected, we focused on issues such as average time taken to complete the experiments and what role the sex, age and computer experience of each user played. We also noted the various comments received from this experiment as well as any difficulties we may have encountered. The purpose of this experiment was to have a basis of comparison in our study. That way, when we carry out experiments 2 and 3 we will be able to see how their results differ from those of experiment 1. |
