Internet Tools

A browser is software that allows a computer user to find and view information on the Internet. Netscape Navigator and Internet explorer are two of the dominant browsers. Both of these are available for use by AUP students in the Grenelle Computer Lab, The ARC, The Library as well as the Student Lounge.

Email
Students have access to email through mailman on the AUP site. A link to mailman is on the AUP site, as well as on the Computer Lab’s Home Page. Students should check this regularly for AUP news and mail if they haven’t already registered at the Computer Centre to redirect AUP mail to their own email addresses.

Message Board
The AUP message Board allows students to upload information accessible to the AUP community. This is a very handy tool to advertise any goods you may want to sell, offer teaching lessons or simply “sound off” to other students. This too, is accessible through the Computer Lab’s site.
